Life's Unexpected Twists; Spiritual Warfare is Real--But So Is Your Faith

Welcome spring. Yet again another new season. And with the changing of seasons comes life's unexpected twists and turns. Life is beautiful, but it can sometimes be tough as hell. The ebbs and flows of life sink in and the reality feels too much to handle. I was doing so good; staying firm in my faith, solid like a rock and honoring God. You see, the enemy doesn't like that. He doesn't like to see you living out God's will for your life. If you're not careful, you can backslide and allow the enemy's lies to feed your soul and spiral your life out of control. That's when spiritual warfare can spring into effect and spread like wildfire if you don't address it and defeat it.

Spiritual warfare is real and more evident in the times we're living in. The enemy is lying to us, attacking our finances, relationships, thoughts, feelings, self-worth; our entirety. I never realized it, but I was going through my own spiritual battle. I've had my fair share of trying times, but this one felt unexpected like I was flabbergasted. Granted, I have a solid and firm relationship with God, but I felt helpless in my situation, like time was flying by faster than the speed of life and my expectations weren't aligning with my reality. I'm a tough cookie and can handle pressure, but I felt like the friction wasn't stopping. But in the midst of my sorrow, joy is still present. Friends, Jesus is still right there with you in the hurt, pain, shame, loneliness, depression, anxiousness--even sin. I'm reminded by this powerful and selfless scripture in Romans 8:38

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now more than ever before we as Children of God have to carry ourselves with boldness and authority because there's just so much going on in this broken world and if we're not careful we can allow the ways of the world to tempt or persuade us into darkness. 2 Timothy 3:2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy. Matthew 24: 10-13 10 And then many will fall away[a] and betray one another and hate one another.11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Sending lots of love, peace, joy and faith! You are a child of God! You have royal blood flowing through your veins. Love you!

XO--Brit :)
